Portland...A Recap
Today we went out on the town, Old Town and Downtown. After hiking around Mt. Tabor Park we stopped at Voodoo Donuts - yes, there was a long line but it was well worth it...then we went out to the Waterfront and walked the kids several miles...there were lots of one way streets and no turn signs...sigh. Tom decided on eating at Los Gorditas and wow, it was exceptional...I loved the hot salsas..super hot and right up my alley. We tried tofu tacos, faitija tacos and quesadillas...so good! Afterwards we walked the Pearl District and then stopped in Sizzle Pizza ...then up to the Vegan Mall -really only a short block of shops including Black and White Cafe, Sweetpea Bakery, Herbivore, and more. We dropped in Herbivore where Tom found a recycled belt from a VW bug and a cool wallet that included a dollar bill someone had forgotten. I bought some discounted tees...what the heck. WE also headed over to Washington Park and checked out the Japanese Gardens and Rose Gardens. You know, the touristy stuff. I will be posting more photos as a grand recap with restaurant reviews when we get home so stay tuned.
